Process Engineer
WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
The Process Engineer provides support for the Röhm America Production Site in Osceola, AR, Manufacturing Operation. This role is responsible for all aspects of process engineering for the safe and efficient operation of process equipment. This role will additionally coordinate improvements of process safety and environmental protection, through daily review of operations, continuous improvement in product quality and reduction of off-spec material. Facilitate installation and modification of equipment, documentation of the process, and training of the workforce. This position will be located at the Roehm Osceola, Arkansas, manufacturing facility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain a high level of safety assurance through a continuous safety training and awareness program, maintenance of safety procedures, and safety contact with workers.
- Provide technical support to operators in manufacturing departments as necessary, to maintain maximum efficiency of personnel and equipment in a safe manner.
- Develop, coordinate runs, and report on long- and short-term product and process development schedules as part of an ongoing program to improve quality, cost, and productivity such that budgeted goals and planned objectives are met.
- Coordinate investigations, HAZOPS, and report on process upsets and product problems utilizing input from all operating personnel and support groups as necessary to improve systems and procedures thereby preventing reoccurrence of same or similar events.
- Act as team facilitator in the manufacturing departments to foster and encourage team and individual participation in meeting plant quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Develop and implement capital projects to enhance safety, improve quality and throughput, reduce manufacturing costs and improve methods of operation.
- Work closely with maintenance and project engineering to coordinate installation of engineering projects and assist in timely resolution of maintenance problems.
- The employee must be completely conversant with applicable safety, loss prevention, and environmental standards of the Company, business group, and plant. The employee must also be aware of the regulatory requirements and must implement those standards as specified in the standards and regulatory requirements in this work assignment.
- Review operations daily with manufacturing, resolve problems as a team, and provide off shift support when necessary.
- The Process Engineer must have a working Knowledge of the maintenance and purchasing functions in the SAP process.
- The electrical site process engineer is responsible for Production IT. This role is also responsible for lab IT and can serve in a support capacity for global IT related items.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- B.S. or more advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills with ability to work collaboratively with other departments and international teams.
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all applicable engineering principles and standards and their application.
- Knowledge of operating processes, equipment, and materials, as well as critical analysis skills are needed to effectively evaluate manufacturing performance and develop improvements.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Familiar with and ability to learn SAP, process simulation tools and other process engineering applications.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability and desire to utilize digitalization and new process methods.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify schematics and other manufacturing process documentation.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to present detailed information across all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to organize and have the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks to meet targeted completion deadlines.
- Ability to work without guidance or supervision.
- This position will follow a standard weekly schedule, however availability for weekend and holiday coverage during critical use periods may be required.
- Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed shoes, and hearing protection).
